Bubblegum, Maps, and More!

Second Grade is a whole new world for me! Thanks to "Bubblegum Science," my class enjoyed learning about and using the scientific method.

Thanks to Marie Cote for creating this activity!

She also included a craftivity for the children to report their results. Here is a picture of a few of them:

It was hard to find all pink balloons, so I let the children choose from regular balloon colors. They look so cute hanging in the hallway!

We are also learning about maps, and read the book, Me on the Map, by Joan Sweeney. Soon after, I saw a cute idea on Pinterest that went along with the book. This inspired me to put my own spin on the activity, and make it into a flip book. Here is the result:

You can check out more of this flipbook here. I plan to use it with my class this week!

Please follow my blog if you haven't already, and spread the word! I'd love to see this continue to grow! I'm also open to comments and suggestions if you have any!
